2020 NVRA Annual Convention - CANCELLED
NVRA has closely monitored the effects that COVID-19 continues to have on our professional community. After reviewing the health directives of the CDC and state health departments, the NVRA board has unanimously agreed to cancel our 2020 Annual NVRA Convention that was scheduled to be held on July 22-25, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas.
NVRA’s annual convention is a tradition that has been upheld since 1968. To date, NVRA has held 51 annual conventions. This year, NVRA’s Board of Directors proceeded with convention planning with cautious optimism, and the decision to cancel was not an easy decision to make. To many of our long-time members and partners, our in-person annual conventions have been viewed as “family reunions,” bringing the joy of seeing long-time friends, meeting new friends, learning about advancements in our profession, networking, meeting with vendors, along with exploring new cities. This eagerly anticipated summer event offers immeasurable personal and professional experiences.
NVRA will be providing three remote seminars to our membership in the coming weeks. Each of these one-hour seminars will be free to our membership and will provide a total of three CE credits.
NVRA will proceed with exploring available platforms to hold a virtual convention this summer, as well as to conduct our annual business meeting.
Announcement will be made later this month regarding certification testing that is currently scheduled for July in San Antonio, Texas.
