Founded in 1967, National Verbatim Reporters Association (NVRA) is the only national professional organization dedicated to the practice of voice writing, offering:

• Support and benefits to its members,
• Certification,
• Conferences,
• Newsletters.

Court reporters using either voice or stenographic methods may become general members of NVRA. NVRA is committed to the excellence of its members by promoting professional development, educational opportunities, and ethical behavior standards. NVRA conducts certification testing for both voice and stenographic court reporting methods. Professionals certified by NVRA display the highest professional standards, skills, and abilities.

NVRA offers several levels of membership.

We also welcome students of court reporting as student members.

Any vendors or other individuals who are interested in promoting the profession are invited to become associate members.
